    Hiding fields under Selection or Details Links

      First of all, thanks for the help people have given me in here...

      Now my wee question...

      If I want to hide fields from a search and display them in my own template I can use something along the lines of the following...

      <do action=all selectbrowse=no details=no searchfields=field1,field2,etc search=link input=link>

      Here, searchfields is used... What is used if I want to hide fields in 'Selection' and/or 'Details'???

      Thanks in advance for your help.

    Limiting Details & Link Redirection for main Link on First Field

      Hi thanks for your previous help.

      When viewing a database the first field is always a URL which then lists all details for that entry.

      1. Can I limit the details when this link is clicked?

      2. Is it possible to have the link redirect to an alternate web page?

      1. I know I did this on another databae...will check the settings.

      2. If you make the key field an html link field, will it work to redirect the browser?

    Re: Limiting Details & Link Redirection for main Link on First Field

      I tried what you suggested but couldn't seem to get what I wanted however, your suggesting allowed me to pursue another option thus instead of changing the first field to an 'HTML' field I instead changed it to a 'TEXT' field and put in some HTML coding so that it would display an image and also make a clickable link. Furthermore I discovered the actual coding I was looking for was along the lines of

      'allfields=My_Pic,Sex,Name,Location...Etc -Age...Etc'

      Just thought I'd provide that info in case anyone else was having a similar problem.

      Thanks for your help.

      will this work?? I thought I had input but maybe detail would work. Add to the table def on your page...after listing all the fields I think.

      from documentation

      detail=no/link/linktop/linkbottom/top/bottom
      Detailed output: Not possible/After link alone,top,bottom/Top/Bottom

      search=no/link/linktop/linkbottom/top/bottom
      Search output: Not possible/After link alone,top,bottom/Top/Bottom

      input=no/link/linktop/linkbottom/top/bottom
      Entry form: Not possible/After link alone,top,bottom/Top/Bottom
