    sum of field for non password protected database.

      Still Need Help for Sum Of Field
      I Thank You for all the help...so i have created an new database

      http://baseportal.com/cgi-bin/baseportal.pl?htx=/searsdvdtech/testforperl

      it is non password protected

      i used your code " sum of field " ( non password database)

      Changed Field name and database name to correspond to new database and field name.

      and the result is ....

      <do action=all>

      <loop db=testforperl=perl>
      $sum+=$_loop{"comp"};
      </loop>

      have checked all "managment options" to allow edit/modify/view..all checked.

      I get the same error as for previous password protected database as follows .....

      [ Error:

      Reason: The specified database is not approved for the desired access.

      Solution: Log into your private domain, choose the appropriate database, click on 'Management' and change the rights settings. ]

      [ Error: Permission denied to read /searsdvdtech/testforperl=perl

      Reason: The specified database is not approved for the desired access.

      Solution: Log into your private domain, choose the appropriate database, click on 'Management' and change the rights settings. ]

      [ Error: Unable to open /usr/local/httpd/baseportal_NOACCESS/searsdvdtech/testforperl=perl ]

      [ Error: Unable to lock /searsdvdtech/testforperl=perl ]

      Can it be that since that "comp" field is a check box type field that it can not perform the code "sum of field"?

      Thanks Agian for all the help

      Randy M.
