    Checkboxes in database

I have an input form with checkboxes matching database fields. The user checks the desired boxes and submits form. The template "puts" the checked items in the database. Just like it should...

Trying to output these checkbox fields and they won't output. I checked the database and they have a value. If I manually submit each entry in the database (remember the data is already there, I don't change anything I just hit the submit button) then they are visible again.

Any answer to why I have to manually submit the checkbox data even though it already is in the database?

    embedding data in separate page

Is there a way to have the selected data appear on a seperate page once someone does a search.
For instance,, a person searches the database and it gives some of the fields and when they go to another page it gives more of the fields. Is there a way to do this without the user having to put the parameters into the search twice.

It's a significant amount of programming, especially if you don't know html. baseportal has good documentation for how to do this. Start here:
      http://baseportal.com/doku/index.html#a56
The value="add" will have to be changed to (I think) value="search". I've done a lot of this programming for my web site but it is a trial and error method since I don't know perl :)

Also, check the library on baseportal for more examples.
