Message from Christoph Bergmann on 12/23 2003, 04:14 +01:00 EMail: info@baseportal.com Re: Building a data base and putting it on an existing web pageThis is the way you should do it: - Copy the HTML code of one of your existing pages into a baseportal template and insert "<do action=all>" (or whatever baseportal programming you need). - Then make all links absolute, meaning: Make sure the links in this templates link back to your page (if appropriate) - Then link to this baseportal template from your page. Thats it. The trick is: Don't think all pages belonging to your website have to be on the same server - some are there, some are here and some are elsewhere ;-) Its just not important where they are as long as the design is the same and they link to each other... ok? |

Message from Robert B. Meredith on 12/19 2003, 15:09 -07:00 EMail: meredith4@cox.net Building a data base and putting it on an existing web pageI am in the process of building several data bases, books; i.e. a book store, top ten list, etc. I am unsure of how to attach these data bases to an already existing web page. Any help or suggestions would be deeply appreciated. Thank You Bob Meredith |
